# Viamente

> A planning canvas for complex multi-stop trips. Pull every hotel, stop, and point of interest onto one map. Hand off to Booking, Airbnb, and Google Maps when you're ready to book. Built by Lygge Studios in Copenhagen.

Viamente is for anyone planning a trip too complex for a single search — multi-stop, multi-pax, accommodation-first, constraint-driven. Self-booking professionals, families with kids, people who keep a hundred tabs open before the trip is even planned. Not for charter clients or package-holiday repeaters.

## What it does today

- **Plan canvas.** A live map of every destination, with curved arcs between legs. Edit dates, drag pins, see check-in/out and timezone shifts across the whole trip.
- **Hotel discovery.** Search hotels near any stop. Shortlist with one tap. Hands off to Booking, Airbnb, the chain's own site, or Google Maps — deep links with parameters pre-filled.
- **Honest handoffs.** Viamente does not book for you. It consolidates the planning surface, then sends you to the place that takes your money.

## Where it's going (not yet shipped)

- Profile memory — your frequent-flyer status, room preferences, family setup, and dietary constraints carry across plans. Plan N+1 obviously smarter than plan N.
- Calendar sync — push your plan to Google Calendar so it lives next to your real schedule.
- Flight offers — Duffel-backed search inline with the plan canvas.
- Cross-plan recall — next year's trip remembers what worked this year.

## Founder

Viamente was founded by Peter Merkert, who built it after a one-month trip to Thailand with his wife cost the two of them about five days of full-time planning for a 30-day trip — multi-leg flights, partial Airbnb shares, Notion tables with cancellation windows hacked into the comments, family meeting them halfway through. By the end of planning they were too tired to look at the attractions; they just locked the flights and the long-term hotels and gave up. Asking twenty-something friends afterwards, the answer landed near 20% of trip-time spent at a laptop *before* the trip starts. Peter previously cofounded Retraced where he served as CTO for eight years; before that he studied trip optimization, ticket-splitting, and money-saving-expert hacks in the UK. Viamente is the tool he wishes had existed in 2024.
